Frequently Asked Questions.
Do you charge for a consultation?
We never charge for an initial consultation. At the free initial consultation, we will discuss the details of your potential case, the legal process and answer any questions you may have.
What will it cost me to hire you?
The hourly fee is normally between EUR 250 and 300, depending on the complexity of the case. The exact hourly fee will be set before I start working with the case.
I will always ensure that your case is well-prepared for a successful resolution, whether that ultimately occurs by settlement, mediation, arbitration or trial.
Who will work on my case?
EA Sports Law is run by sport lawer Espen Auberg, who is a partner in Nova Law. Espen Auberg will be responsible for all cases, and take advantage of the expertise from other sports lawyers at Nova Law if that is in the interest of the client.
How long will my case take?
In disputes, the length of a case, from the initial free consultation through to the resolution of the case by settlement or an award from a court or arbitration institution, depends on several variables, so it is not possible to say exactly how long a case may take. The duration of a case is often dictated by the individual court or dispute chamber in which the case is filed.
Do EA Sport Law offer no cure no pay?
In some disputes and disciplinary cases we offer so-called “no cure – no pay” which means that we charge no fee unless the the client is succesful in the dispute or in the disciplinary case. Whether “no cure - no pay” can apply to a dispute or disciplinary case will be clarified in the initial consultation.
